According to the official 2009 football schedule on georgiadogs.com, the 2009 football G-Day game will be televised on ESPN. This annual spring game between the Red and Black is going to be on Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Sanford Stadium. Time and tickets are TBA.
This may not be a surprise to some people as Georgia was reported to be in talks with ESPN last fall. However, other than the note on the official schedule, there hasn't been any official announcement from the university.
Hopefully, the deal to televise the game is true and will be made official. A national broadcast of the spring game would be a great recruiting tool and some good publicity for Georgia.
