The Division I-AA (FCS) Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles will travel to Athens to face the mediocre Georgia Bulldogs. TTU is 5-3 this year, while the Dawgs are a miserable 4-4. The four losses were to Oklahoma State, LSU, Tennessee, and Florida.
The Dawgs and the Eagles have only played each other one time. In that one game, Georgia demolished Tennessee Tech 67-0.
Mark Richt, Mike Bobo, and Willie Martinez have been under heavy criticism this year after Georgia lost big-time to Tennessee and Florida. After the should-have-been national champions in 2007 went to 9-3 in 2008, there was enough controversy. Now there's even more, and that's not a good thing for Georgia. Hopefully, Mark Richt can work around it, finish this season, and make the right decisions to fix the program in the offseason.
Now, on to my predictions: Georgia. All the way. The FCS's only major win over the FBS in recent history was when Appalachian State beat Michigan 34-32 to start off the 2007 season. I just can't see that happening to the Dawgs, but with how bad Georgia's been playing this year, anything is possible.
