1. Alabama - The Crimson Tide is looking like the best team in college football right now, let alone the SEC. Their offense, defense, and special teams are all very consistent and disciplined. They'll beat Florida in the SEC Championship Game this year.
2. Florida - The Gators did not do very good against LSU. The Tigers are not a good team (as shown by how Georgia almost beat them). If that's all Florida can do against LSU, then the Gators should be worried about not only losing, but being blown out by Alabama.
3. LSU - Even though they lost to Florida on Saturday, LSU is still the third best team in the conference. If they can establish a running game and start playing some better defense, then the Tigers could be better than they are right now.
4. Tennessee - The Vols played a great game against Georgia last weekend. Jonathan Crompton had a career day, throwing for 300+ yards. If this builds Crompton's confidence like it should, Tennessee might become a winning team again.
5. Auburn - The other Tigers only lost this game because of their defense. The D let Ryan Mallet pick them apart all night long. The offense was asleep in the fast half but finally woke up later in the game to make a comeback attempt. If they can improve a little on defense and make sure their offense doesn't fall asleep, Auburn will have a great team.
6. Ole Miss - Ole Miss was blown out by Alabama last weekend, but they showed their greatness on defense, allowing only one touchdown. However, the Rebel offense has not lived up to expectations. They won't get very far without a good offense.
That does it for this week. (Notice anything about the Dawgs?) Check back around this time next week for the Week 7 edition.
