Here's the Week 4 edition of my SEC rankings. Enjoy.
1. Florida: Until the Gators lose to someone or barely beat an easy opponent, they're the best team in the SEC. The off-week will probably help Tim Tebow get back in action.
2. Alabama: The Crimson Tide excelled on both sides of the ball in their 35-7 defeat of Arkansas. They could have a chance to beat Florida in the SEC Championship Game, but I don't think that will happen.
3. LSU: At this point, Florida and Alabama have shown that they are the only really good teams in the SEC. The Tigers won't be ranked in the top five at the end of the year, but they are the third best team in the conference.
4. Georgia: It still remains to be seen whether the Dawgs will beat a team that almost the same as them (LSU). Neither Georgia nor LSU can run the ball, rush the passer, or play defense. This weekend will decide where the Dawgs and Tigers end up in these rankings.
5. South Carolina: The Gamecocks beat the crap out of Ole Miss last Thursday night. The Rebels were overrated, but beating a top five team like that is still impressive. This gives USC the #5 ranking for the week.
That does it for the Week 4 SEC Rankings. Check back next Thursday for the Week 5 SEC Rankings.
