The 13th-ranked Dawgs went into Saturday's game against the 9th-ranked Oklahoma State expecting a win. Even the College GameDay crew picked Georgia over the Cowboys.
Things looked good at the start of the game. Georgia received the opening kickoff and took a 10-play drive 80 yards down the field into the end zone. This gave the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead and appeared to set the stage for a big upset.
However, the game turned around during the last few minutes of the second quarter. In the last 2:30 of the half, Okie State scored a touchdown on a pass to Dez Bryant and a field goal on a kick by Dan Bailey. They then opened up the third quarter with a 3 1/2 minute touchdown drive to take a 17-7 lead.
Georgia was never able to mount a comeback, only getting a field goal by Blair Walsh in the middle of the third quarter. The Cowboys then sealed their win with another touchdown pass to Dez Bryant. The final score was 24-10.
