Mark Bradley Predicts Georgia's Season

In today's AJC, sports blogger Mark Bradley predicted the results and scores of the Dawgs' 12 regular season football games. His predictions said that Georgia would finish 8-4 in the regular season (they'll be better than that).

Here are Mark Bradley's predictions and thoughts on the games (my thoughts are in bold beneath his).

Sept. 5: Oklahoma State 30, Georgia 20
Some Bulldogs fans see OSU as another Arizona State. Different league, folks.
This is a better prediction than 387-24 (this is not a typo), but I still think Georgia will win this game. Oklahoma State is just not that good.

Sept. 12: Georgia 24, South Carolina 14
The Evil Genius marred the 2007 season by winning at Sanford Stadium. Not this time.
I think he got the outcome right, but not the score. It's been about seven years since the winner of this game scored 20 or more points. Georgia will win, but won't score 20 or more points.

Sept. 19: Georgia 21, Arkansas 20
Tempting to go with the Hogs, but the Richt road mojo will carry the day.
This game won't be that close. Arkansas is terrible at football. Georgia will win by at least 15 points.

Sept. 26: Georgia 31, Arizona State 10
OK, here's the real Arizona State, and here's the first easy win of 2009.
I completely agree.

Oct. 3: LSU 24, Georgia 23
Big-time opponent enters big-time environment and leaves with big-time victory.
This game will be close, and LSU will probably win.

Oct. 10: Georgia 24, Tennessee 13
Any letdown potential after LSU will be overriden by the Kiffin factor.
That's true, but I think Georgia will score a few more points than that.

Oct. 17: Georgia 27, Vanderbilt 20
Another road game in the Volunteer State, this one tougher. But still a Georgia "W".
This game will be way easier than the Tennessee game. Vanderbilt is the worst team in the SEC East this year, so Georgia will win big-time.

Oct. 31: Florida 30, Georgia 17
Strange things happen on Halloween, don't they? Nothing this strange, I fear.
The score is probably about right. This year could be Georgia's year to finally beat the Gators, but that probably won't happen.

Nov. 7: Georgia 42, Tennessee Tech 10
Georgia's sixth victory will be its third in a row over a team from Tennessee.
Georgia will win easily and big-time, but I hope to see them score a few more points than that.

Nov. 14: Georgia 24, Auburn 14
Yes, the visitor tends to win in this series. But not when Gene Chizik coaches the road team.
Georgia will beat Auburn, but I think they'll score a few more points than that.

Nov. 21: Georgia 33, Kentucky 17
Three in a row for the surging Bulldogs, setting the stage for the big game in Atlanta.
Again, I completely agree.

Nov. 28: Georgia Tech 30, Georgia 24
Willie Martinez has had a year to figure out Paul Johnson's offense, but he'll need another.
I don't agree at all. I think Georgia will win this game. They're a better team than Tech.

My predictions have Georgia coming out at 10-2. Mark Bradley thinks they'll be 8-4. We'll just have to see who's right.
