On Wednesday night, the Dawgs delivered a serious blow to the Kentucky Wildcats' NCAA Tournament hopes. They beat the Cats 90-85 in Lexington, so now Kentucky will need to win the SEC Tournament or beat Florida this weekend and make the SEC finals.
The only downside to this big win would be if Kentucky fired their head coach, Gillespie, and began a coaching search at the same time as us. However, unless his team loses their next two games, that probably isn't a realistic possibility. Firing Gillespie for winning 19 or more games this year and finishing second in the SEC East last year doesn't make sense.
The entire team gave it all their effort Wednesday night to give the Dawgs this great victory over Kentucky. That type of effort on offense and defense is what Georgia really needs.
