Oklahoma State, who plays Georgia in the 2009 football season opener, has moved the state of Georgia up on their recruiting priority list. The Cowboys, who had a lot of success last year, moved Georgia up to third on their list.
"Right now, Georgia is third for us," coach Mike Gundy said. "Oklahoma, Texas, and then Georgia are the states we're going to work hard on. In the spring, we're going to put a couple of assistants there. We're actually going to double up our recruiting efforts in the state of Georgia."
Oklahoma State signed three of the state's top recruits last month, including linebacker LeRon Furr, fullback David Paulen, and defensive end Ryan Robinson. Paulsen selected the Cowboys over Georgia.
The Dawgs play Oklahoma State in both teams' season openers on September 5.
