Dennis Felton's team was probably the worst team in 20 years in SEC basketball. The roster had twice as many walk-ons as actual players, so it's a reasonable assumption to say it was the least talented basketball team in the history of the SEC.

That group won two SEC games.
Many people thought it was impossible for a team to go winless in SEC play. Until now. After a bored Tennessee mauled the Bulldogs in Knoxville, losing by 31 points, people are suggesting that they may go winless in SEC play this year.
It's certainly a scenario that's on the table. The Chattanooga Times-Free Press says the last SEC team to go winless was the 1953-1954 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. How long ago was that? Long enough that Vince Dooley was probably point guard on Auburn's team, helping them beat Georgia Tech.
Said a different way - Tech's disaster was way before desegregation.
Georgia's basketball team needs something - anything - to break this terrible slump. They have to be able to not quit on themselves and the coaches. A winless conference season will make it way more difficult for the assistants to find any jobs.
