Travis Leslie, a freshman guard on the Hoop Dawgs basketball team, will miss the remainder of the 2008-09 season to focus on academics, the university announced today. Leslie will miss the final three games of the regular season and the SEC Tournament in Tampa, Florida.
Leslie played in 26 games this season, averaging 6.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Hopefully he'll be able to get back on track with his academics and be eligible to play in the 2009-10 season.
