Time for National Signing Day

The 2009 National Signing Day is here! Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4, is when the top recruits in the entire country will sign their letters of intent. For the Georgia Bulldogs, that means signing another top 10 class and hopefully better.

The 2009 Georgia signees will be posted here hopefully as they come in but maybe a little later. The Dawgs already have 17 verbal commitments and Rivals.com has them ranked 9th overall.

Georgia is hoping to close strong this year and are targeting six top recruits:

• Marlon Brown: wide receiver; Memphis, TN; Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee


• Orson Charles: wide receiver; Tampa, FL; Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, USC


• Jarvis Jones: linebacker; Columbus, GA; favors Texas over USC, Florida, and Georgia


• Bobby Massie: offensive tackle; Chatham, VA; favors Alabama over Georgia, Miami, North Carolina, and Ole Miss


• Greg Reid: cornerback; Valdosta, GA; will announce decision tonight at 7 PM between Georgia, Florida State, and Alabama


• Jawanza Starling: safety; Tallahassee, FL; favors USC over Georgia and Florida State

This should be another interesting signing day. Mark Richt and Georgia don't usually close strong, but they always seem to remain in the top 10.
