Papajohns.com Bowl: Rutgers 29, NC State 23
It was fitting that Rutgers would end the season with a come from behind win. After winning only one of their first six games, the Scarlet Knights erased an 11 point second half deficit to beat NC State. Mike Teel led the comeback, as he passed for 319 yards and two touchdowns. One of those scores was the game winner to Kenny Britt. Teel, a senior, ended his career on a seven game winning streak after being booed at home early as he struggled. Coach Greg Schiano said he didn't have to give his team much of a second half pep talk to get them fired up.
Alamo Bowl: Missouri 30, Northwestern 23
Chase Daniel's last game at Missouri ended on a great note. The star quarterback threw a seven yard touchdown to Jeremy Maclin in overtime and the Tigers beat Northwestern in the Alamo Bowl. It was Daniel's first overtime game since he was a freshman, when he beat Iowa State in overtime 27-24. After Northwestern scored late in the fourth quarter to force overtime, Mizzou took the ball first and scored a touchdown. After that, their defense delivered. Missouri sacked C.J. Bacher to force a fumble and set up fourth-and-goal from the 32 yard line for the Wildcats. Bacher's pass was knocked down in the end zone, and the Tigers took home a win.
