Oklahoma Knocked Off; Georgia Tops Tennessee

Number 5 Texas went into today's game against Oklahoma looking to beat them and possibly gain the #1 spot. And they did just that. After trailing nearly the entire game, the Longhorns went ahead on a 28 yard field goal by Hunter Lawrence with 1:04 left in the 3rd quarter. The Sooners briefly took the lead back before a 1 yard run by Cody Johnson put Texas back on top. Johnson took another run into the end zone later in the fourth quarter to close out the game and beat Oklahoma 45-35.

Georgia was looking for revenge against the Volunteers after Tennessee beat them two years in a row. Georgia came out quickly as Brannan Southerland rushed 1 yard for a touchdown with 7:16 left in the first quarter. Blair Walsh also kicked a field goal in the first quarter to jump out to a 10-0 lead. Tennessee's first score came on a 2 yard pass from QB Nick Stephens. Georgia led 20-7 at the half and gave up one more touchdown pass from Stephens in the second half, but two second half field goals by Blair Walsh sealed the Georgia win.
