Owens Lost for Season

Georgia head coach Mark Richt has confirmed that defensive tackle Jeff Owens will have season-ending surgery. Owens will undergo surgery today after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee against Georgia Southern. Owens started 26 games at Georgia and his streak of 15 straight ended against Central Michigan.
